About Us
Our Organization is dedicated to producing, increasing, and improving economic growth within the underprivileged areas.
Our goals are to promote self-sufficiency by building stronger families, closing wealth gaps and educating on the importance of Healthy Lifestyles and resources in available low income areas.

The Organization will have several events a year that will focus on such things like architectural, archeological, and artistic history that comes from African American CULTURE. We will organize fun-filled activities to share and enjoy quality time together. We will also hold a book club for individuals focusing on issues that we face as people of color on a daily basis in American views.

We welcome all family members including children and grandparents. Our Events will educate the general public and promote Cultural Preservation(Heritage Cycle). Our Programs will be funded through grants and contributions.

The Cultural Research & Development Center offers Education and Training Skills (EaTS) of Self Identity, Financial Literacy, Agriculture, Self Wellness Care, and Entrepreneurship. We also provide training, individualized coaching, and support, and numerous group activities to supplement the one-to-one support.





LaShara Kornegay
Founder & CEO
LaShara Kornegay is a committed entrepreneur and is currently founder and CEO of
The Cultural Research & Development Center. LaShara manages corporate direction and strategy at CR&DC, facilitating company activity in education, sales, alliances and channels, and support. She is also responsible for CR&DC’s national business units for special programs, serving kids, youth, young adult and adults. Since starting CR&DC, LaShara has worked to share CR&DC’s strategy and vision with clients, partners, and potential investors.

Although LaShara suffered poverty and many obstacles along her journey which led to the birth of her child
at the ripe age of 16, she still graduated high school and completed her associate degree.
She is proud of her accomplishments despite her mother and father not graduating from high school or college.
​
LaShara has over twenty-two years of medical and educational experience combined. She serves as a licensed practical nurse, a travel nurse and other various roles in nursing. She also had a type B child care business for the state of Ohio, and she was also an independent contractor for nursing in the state of Ohio. She has worked in, but not limited to, working with individuals with developmental delays, home care, prisons, substance abuse and detox treatment facilities, long-term care facilities, psych and a host of nursing specialties. She has a vast sense of knowledge and experience in nutrition and has worked for the government as a Section 8 housing specialist with HUD for low income housing.
LaShara has an Associates degree in Computerized Office and Business Management.

Dedicated to her craft, LaShara has applied her skills to help her combat economic social determinants as well as caring for patients and clients as a whole.

Our Vision as an Organization is to create programs that specializes in helping to teach our children on self sufficiency. By educating our children self sufficiency skills we teach them to grow into thriving innovators and free thinkers! Which creates a cycle that produces, increases, and improves economic growth within their underprivileged communities.
